Plastic Surgery for the Modern Woman
These days it’s hard to walk down the streets of Bangkok without seeing a woman that’s enhanced with plastic surgery. The quest for unattainable beauty standards has led many women to subject themselves to surgery that might potentially scar them for life. But many women still put themselves through these procedures for the sake of gaining fame, fortune or both.
Social media has been the driving force behind unattainable beauty standards but what most impressionable young women don’t realize is that the beauty standards being put forth by social media are not attainable mostly because they’re not real. Hardly any Instagram models are rocking it without some kind of filter applied or an extensive photoshop session where waists are narrowed down, and breasts are pumped up.
Nevertheless, that hasn’t stopped millions of women from continuing looking to surgery for that unattainable beauty standard, even if it’s all been faked all along. What you end up with are women with grotesque facial features or strange body types where their derriere is so pumped up with fillers you could use them as a lifeboat if you’re ever stranded at sea.
It’s a tragedy that so many women look to surgery to improve their self-confidence when what they really need is a good therapist who would convince them to love themselves. Quite often, women looked better without the surgery than with it and would’ve aged gracefully without it. Beauty comes from within, and you don’t need fillers or globe-sized mammaries to be beautiful. A beautiful person inside would naturally be beautiful on the outside as well.
Love yourself and love the body you’re in because if you don’t love yourself, no one else will.
